When the Israelites arrived at the Red Sea, God instructed Moses to lift up his staff, stretch out his hand and split open the sea. The sea was an obstacle but God‘s power created a path through it.
Jesus is the new Moses who on the cross stretched out His arms and parted the sea that had separated man from God after Adam‘s sin.
But to some people Jesus Himself is like the sea; an obstacle to their faith and reason. There are those who refuse the Deliverer; even as the Israelites grumbled against Moses while he led them to the promised land.
To the last drop of His blood, Jesus sacrificed Himself for us; we are indebted to our Savior. Let us cross the sea turned red by the blood of Christ and be lead by Him to the heavenly, promised land.
